Fresh New Theatre from some Canadian Faves
This year’s Theatre Series is anchored by two new works from nationally recognized theatre artists. Karen Hines will present “Pochsy IV: Lost You for a Second,” a part stand-up comedy, part consumeristic night-terror that takes audiences on a surreal journey through the mind of mercury-addled industrial worker, Pochsy. Don’t miss this provocative performance on June 15 and 16 at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts.
Yolanda Bonnell’s “The Eighth Fire” will be presented in two parts at the Niagara Folk Arts Centre’s Robertson Hall. Part I, “The Great Migration,” follows the Anishinaabek people’s 500-year migration, while Part II, “Bagosinem / Have Hope,” delves into the impacts of colonialism and the future of sovereignty and revolution among Queer and Trans land and water defenders.
