A path from self-destruction to growth explored through song.
"Pick A Struggle" is a work-in-progress EP currently in its demo stages of production. This project weaves together topics like rumination, nostalgia, self-destruction, longing, and transformation into a sonic journey of tongue-in-cheek self-reflection. Audience members will hear six original songs carried by guitar, piano, and a whole lot of gumption. Singer-songwriter Bianca Taylor turns herself inside-out on her first EP, investigating various aspects of her human condition. Come connect, reflect, or sit back and listen. This space is for you just as much.
Bianca Taylor (Composer, Instrumentalist, Vocalist)
Bianca Taylor is a singer, writer, and theatre-artist from Oakville, ON. Being raised by an a capella singer inherently encouraged creativity and fostered early artistic growth, fueling Bianca's passion for the performing arts as we see it today. She began singing at age 6, writing at age 11, and has experience playing the piano, the trumpet, and (most recently) the guitar. She has previously designed sound for theatre, but has never shared originals until now. Her BA in Psychology greatly informs her artistic process, an aspect she aims to emphasize as she pursues her Masters this fall. Song-writing provides Bianca with a therapeutic release she hopes to share with others, whether through music, clinical practice, or fun conversation.
Bianca is a resident in Suitcase in Point's 2023-24 Nest Artist Residency.
