Marshall Bureau is a composer and soundscape designer inspired by the warmth and tranquility one can find when spending time in nature. His music attempts to reconnect the listener with spaces where inspirational self dialogue and beneficial memory reinforcement can be nurtured.
Marshall explores various looping and sequencing techniques, drones, improvisation, additive process, and musical set theory for compositional and structural inspiration. He explores these treatments and manipulations with a restored 1950’s Jenco vibraphone, a Moog Subharmonicon sequencer, a Teenage Engineering OP-1 music station, and various treated percussion and found sound instruments.
