I am human. And by that, I mean that I am an artist, a poet, a friend, a creator of space - a tessellation formed by my experiences on this beautiful planet in which all us earthlings co-exist. I use art as a means to navigate the world around me, the thoughts I have, and the emotions I feel. My process is messy, sporadic, loving and vulnerable. I love exploring my own humanity, the humanity of others, what it means to love and what it means to be human.
My poetry explores aspects of love, how love connects us, breaks us - the many different ways it can change and hold and nurture a person. Love can be bigger than the universe or as small as sharing a segment of an orange, and I seek to challenge myself in exploring the deepest corners of this emotion. I hope to create and hold loving space for my fellow humans through my art and writing, giving myself and others the space to be vulnerable in a world that does not always allow us to be soft.
