For 10 years, Kyle Golemba and Adam White have been bringing their love of Canadian musical theatre to audiences across Canada. Born out of their successful cabaret series in Toronto, Making Love in a Canoe is a collection of their favourite songs from Canadian musicals, cabarets, and revues. The show had its theatrical debut at The Golden Apple Theatre in Regina and has been presented at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill in Halifax, the world-renowned Stratford Summer Music Festival, Toronto’s legendary Gladstone Hotel and other venues across Ontario.
As 2017 is Canada’s sesquicentennial, Making Love in a Canoe will incorporate new music to reflect Canada’s diversity and reflect on Canadian culture: what has come before and what the future might have in store.
“Golemba and White have spunk and style and a belief in the musical theatre talent of our country. That makes them tops in my book.” -Richard Ouzounian, Toronto Star
“Kyle sings with a warmth and wonder that is like pulling on a pair of long johns on a cold November day – with a mug of hot chocolate thrown in for good measure. A truly heartfelt and amazing love letter to Canadian musical theatre.” -Sharron Matthews, Global’s Canada Sings!
“He’s a beautiful singer, great dancer, good actor and charming as all get-out. Not only do his stories always have a point, but he chooses good songs to illustrate them.” -Nancy White, Canada’s singing satirist
